History

Establishment of the Ukraine Chapter

The initiative to establish the ASIS International Ukraine Chapter was realized in 2018.

On September 13, 2018, the founding meeting took place, formally creating the national chapter with the objective of uniting security professionals and strengthening the institutional presence of the global ASIS community in Ukraine.

From the outset, the founding members were experienced practitioners in corporate security, risk management, and professional certification, providing the Chapter with a strong professional foundation and strategic direction.

Official Recognition

Following its establishment, the Ukraine Chapter was officially recognized as a National Chapter within ASIS International.

As part of the global chapter network, it operates as a local extension of the international organization, focusing on the advancement of the security profession at the national level while maintaining strong alignment with global standards.

Chapter Leadership

Since its founding, the ASIS Ukraine Chapter has grown under the leadership of dedicated Chairs, including:

  • Sergiy Pogrebnoy
  • Viktor Panchak
  • Mykola Mikheiev
  • Viktor Drobotenko

Each leader contributed to strengthening the institutional capacity of the Chapter, enhancing its integration into the global ASIS structure, and expanding professional engagement in Ukraine.

Leadership continuity has ensured strategic consistency, governance stability, and long-term development.

Current Status

Today, the ASIS Ukraine Chapter includes approximately 150 members, representing corporate security, risk management, investigations, physical security, and related disciplines.

Among them are 13 ASIS-certified professionals (CPP®, PSP®, PCI®, and others), reflecting a high level of professional expertise and alignment with international standards.

Chapter leaders and members actively participate in global and national initiatives, contributing to the development of the Chapter as a professional platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and integration into the global ASIS ecosystem.
